After a day of hard work, isnโt it nice to have a good massage session to relax your body and mind. Massage practice has been around for quite a long time and it has been proven to bring health benefit to the people. Not sure how to massage? Get your partner to read this together to improve your massage experience.
1. Do not eat before a massage session
Massage session right after eating may make you feel uncomfortable.
2. Environment and atmosphere
Dimmer lighting and soft music will give the effect of silence and relaxation. Make sure the temperature is comfortable for the person. Through this, the person being massaged will feel calmer and more relax.
3. Apply essential oil
Applying essential oil such as cedar wood and lavender during massage will make the massage experience better. The oil not only reduces the friction on the skin, it also gives off aroma which is good for relaxation and ease stress. (sesuai juga guna aromaterapi pati serai ini.. )
4. Start massaging
Since you are not an expert in this field, so just focus on the basic massaging. Only massage the muscle and apply gentle pressure on it. After some time, slowly increase the pressure until he/she feel most comfortable. Avoid massaging areas which are injured as it may cause more damage to the body. Always get the feedback from the person being massaged so that you know whether you are doing a good job or not.
5. Post massage
Once the massage session done, the person being massaged should not rush to stand up as dizziness may came in. He/She should remain on the couch or table and relax for a while. Drink plenty of water to replenish the body and remove the toxin released.
